WORKS OF ABAY SOUNDED IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES
A seminar was held at Toraighyrov University on the theme "Education and science without language barriers" dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai.
The idea of the seminar is related to the promotion of multilingualism as one of the demanded over-professional skills in the modern competitive environment.
According to the organizers, an additional language in self-education and understanding the world, the desire to comprehend several cultures have always been characteristic of enlightened and creative people.
It is enough to say the name of the great Abay, who in childhood learned the language of Farsi, Arabic, then Russian and left unique translations into the Kazakh language of the works of A.S. Pushkin, M.Yu. Lermontov, I.V. Goethe, I.F. Schiller.
They discussed the importance of ethnopedagogical training of future teachers, compared the “Moral Letters” by L. A. Seneca and the “Words of Edification” by Abay, the world of metaphors in his works.
The key points of the seminar were workshops and training exercises for memorization. After such a warm-up, 50 people learned Abay's poem "Spring".
Abay's works were performed in Kazakh, Russian and English.
