Achievements of the Faculty
1. According to the decision made by the Accreditation Board of the Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency in Education (IQAA), 6 programs offered by the Faculty (5В0171600 Instrumentation, 6М071600 Instrumentation, 5В0704000 Computer Engineering and Programming, 6М011100 Informatics, 6М060100 Mathematics, and 6М060400 Mathematics) were accredited for the period of 5 years in 2014.
2. In accordance with the decision of the State Attestation Commission all educational programs offered by the Faculty were successfully attested for the period of 5 years in 2015.
3. All graduate students of the Faculty (100%) successfully passed EELA (External Evaluation of Learning Achievements) testing in the 2014-2015 academic year.
4. Students of the Faculty showed a good result at the VI National Academic Competition held at K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University in March 2014. They took the first place in Physics among 11 higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Associate Professor of the Department of Physics and Instrumentation Talgat Sapargaliyevich Dossanov was the scientific supervisor of the team.
5. The following students took part in the academic mobility program: Ivan Davydenko (IS-302), Yerzhan Alinov (AZh-301), Aleksandra Potapenko (MMis-22n), Dinara Narkhanova (MMinf(o)-22n) studied at Baltic International University (Riga, Latvia); Yerbolat Tazhkeyev (IS-202) studied at the University of Applied Sciences (St. Pölten, Austria); Dias Anuarbekov (IS-202s), Sagyntay Erkebulan (ETzhB-301) study at the University of Lodz (Poland) (1st semester of the 2015-2016 academic year); Mariya Dzumak (VTiP-302), Dina Ilchubayeva (VTiP-302), Dinara Shaymerden (VTiP-302), Aydana Irmanova (MAZh-21n) study at Riga Technical University (Latvia).
- Aytolkyn Kalidolday, Aygerim Tussupova, 3rd year students majoring in Mathematics.
The following students received the scholarship in the previous semester:
- Gulden Kulumbayeva, a 3rd year student majoring in Instrumentation;
- Violetta Gaydak, a 4th year student majoring in Mathematics;
- Nikita Lemeshenko, a 3rd year student majoring in Physics.
6. According to the Order No.276 of May 04, 2015 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the following students received scholarships established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
7. One of the projects in the field of educational cooperation between S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University and National Research Tomsk State University is the implementation of a joint double-diploma master’s program in Physics (name of the program: Information Processes and Systems).
8. The joint double-diploma master’s program has been implemented under the Agreement and the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions since 2013. There are 3 master’s students majoring in 6М060400 Physics and 1 majoring in 6М060100 Mathematics under this program.
9. The European Commission selected 3 projects submitted by S. Toraighyrov PSU for participation in the Tempus VI competition (October 2013). One of these projects was submitted by the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology. Title of the Project: “Methodology for the formation of highly qualified engineers at master’s program level in the design and development of advanced industrial informatics systems”.
10. The team of the Faculty was the best at the University-wide sports competition and received certificates and the Rector’s Challenge Cup.
