Students Philharmonic Society
Life of university students isn't limited with an academic employment – they have a lot of possibilities for the development of their abilities and for productive leisure.
During the last years the university became cultural center of the town and oblast. In 2001 by the rector Aryn E. M.’s initiative at the Pavlodar state university named after S.Torajgyrov the student's philharmonic society was organized.
The philharmonic society solves problems of students all-around development in art and national creativity, participates in formation and support of university image.
There are 13 student's collectives of art creativity which organize concerts for participants of scientifically-practical conferences, inhabitants of cities and oblast villages, hold thematic and anniversary concerts.
Annually musical disks, among which «the Kereku-Bayan Auenderi», 5 releases of «Nostalgie» with songs of the seventies and the eighties, «Songs of Military Years», «Duet Asia’s songs” , E. Ajtbaev's solo disk, «S.Kaldajakov's songs "," “The Composer N.Tlendiev’s Songs”, " I. Zhakanov’s Songs” are issued. In honor of the fifth anniversary of the student's Philharmonic and the forty-fifth anniversary of the University the book " PSU named after .S.Toraygyrov Golden Disc " is released, which includes 500 works by soloists of Student Philharmonic of different years.
Student Philharmonic has a strong logistical base - costumes of modern art ensembles, sound reinforcement and lighting equipment, equipped concert hall.
In 2006, four creative teams of student Philharmonic were rewarded with the "people's team" title - Orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments named after Estay - head, Mәdeniet қayratkerі Professor Karimov T. B. "Yertis zhұldyzdary” Vocal Studio - Head Pigovaeva Nelly Yuzefovna, group of Contemporary Dance “Jam "- Head Umarbekov R. K., Ak Erke "- modern dance studio" Head Dairbaeva A. R..
In the student's philharmonic society studio of a variety song "Shabyt" operates - the head A. Alekseeva and "Art code" vocal-tool ensemble – head Polozhentsev V. V. (2 structures), student's theater – head Bahtijarova G. M. who in December, 2009 received a «Мәдениет қайраткері» rank, Club of cheerful and resourceful – commands of 9 faculties and college of PGU named after S.Torajgyrov , the mixed chorus – head Negmanova U. G., club of young akyns.
Participants of a student's philharmonic society, actively participate in the international, republican, regional, city and university festivals and competitions: republican festival of Kazakhstan student's youth «Zhas толқын», the international festival of student's and studying youth of the higher and average professional educational institutions «Ertis жұлдыздары», republican festival of student's youth «Song of Dos-Mukasan ensemble».
Our Achievements
1. Inter-regional festival on breakdance of "Burabaj-2006" in «Best Bi-boy» nomination (the bottom break) – Dauren Temirgaliev, group VTIP – 21к;
2. «Bakyt Kushagynda» republican student's competition named after Shamshi Kaldajakov Taraz - a vocal duet of Damir Dairov and Erbol Galija won the 3d place;
3. Student's youth international festival «Days of energy in Mountain Altai» (Russia)
4. "The national" group of modern dance "Jam" of student's philharmonic society won city and regional selection rounds of the V National youth Delphic games. At competitions the collective was represented by the 2nd structure – group "Жігер". Last year the 1st (basic) structure won a gold medal on IV National games (Taraz).
5. From June, 30th till July, 6th in Karaganda Delphic games took place. Group "Jam" won the 3d place.
6. In honor of Astana Day in capital on July, 3-d, 2009 "Urban of culture» festival on break-dance - group "Jam" won the 3d place.
7. On July, 2nd in Ekibastuz the inter-regional festival on a breakdance took place. The group had won the 2nd team place and in pairs - the 1st and 2nd places.
8. Since November, 6-8th, 2009 at the PSU named after S.Torajgyrov International festival «Hip-hop Kuryltai» has been held where commands from Omsk, Novosibirsk, Astana, Almaty, Atyrau, Aktobe, Semipalatinsk, Ekibastuz participate. Our "national" group of modern dance "Jam" occupied the 1st team place. The head of group Umarbekov R. K received the certificate about studying master class at Novosibirsk teachers.
9. Since November, 26-27th, 2009 in Omsk, the International Hip-hop festival took place where the group had won the 1st team place and three first places in the «Hip-hop 1+1», «House 1+1», «Toprock» nominations.
We constantly search for new forms of work with students. Annually «Student's spring» festival, «Ms. PSU», «PSU Super Star», «National ceremonies», «Readers and leaders» and other competitions are held.
Philharmonic Student teams regularly held charitable concerts for war and labor veterans, military personnel of military units, children's homes.
Students Philharmonic Society has been arranged and functioned successfully since 2001. This is a branch of the department for social issues and educational work. The main aims of Students Philharmonic Society are organization, control and regulation of university cultural and leisure activity.
Students’ creative formations are turned to the raise of students’ personality general culture by means of getting acquainted with the achievements of world and national culture, to the forming the needs of healthy lifestyle, aesthetic upbringing of talented students.
Creative teams of student Philharmonic
Orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments named after Estay was organized in 2001 at a Student Philharmonic of Pavlodar State University named after S.Toraygyrov. The orchestra consists of students of music specialties and other faculties. The team is annually replenished with new artists, but keeps the main line-promotion of the best examples of Kazakh music, foreign classics, contemporary Russian composers. The head of the orchestra is the graduate of the Academy of Music Orchestra, known for kiuishi, Mәdeniet Kayratkerі Talgat Karimov.
In 2006 the Ministry of culture and information of Republic of Kazakhstan appropriated a «national collective» rank to the Kazakh National Tools Orchestra named after Estai of Student Philharmonic society of the PSU named after S.Torajgyrov.
The studio of modern dance «Ak Erke» of students philharmonic society of the PSU named after S.Torajgyrov was created in 2001. Dancing collective consists of 55 people.The participants of studio are constant participants of regional and city actions. The collective is the winner and laureate of republican festivals: festival of students’ youth «Zhas толқын», the international festival of students’ and studying youth «Ertys Zhuldysdary». The studio is popular among students and teachers of the university. The head of studio is the licensed specialist Ajgul Kadyrbaeva.
Studio of modern dance «Ak Erke» of student philharmonic society was appropriated " the national" collective rank in 2006.
Modern dance group "Jam". The founder – the choreographer, the group art director Rulat Umarbekov.
Dancing collective consists of the PSU students as well as students of other educational institutions of the town. Formation of a healthy way of life – one of the main directions of the collective. The collective actively participates in the university actions and in various actions, such as: «Youth against a tobacco smoking», «Life without drugs» etc.

The vocal studio «Ertis Zhuldyzdary» of student's philharmonic society was created in 2001. The head is Pigovaeva Nelli Juzefovna. Vocal group consists of 28 people. There are 226 songs in the studio’s repertoire - modern hits and songs of past years of a variety direction. Soloists of collective are numerous winners and laureates of prestigious festivals in our republic: festival of Kazakhstan student's youth «Zhas толқын», «songs of Dos - Mukasan ensemble», the international festival of student and studying youth «Ertis Zhuldyzdary», the international competition "Shabyt" (Astana). Collective regularly participates in charitable concerts for citizens, areas, veterans of war and work, children and schoolboys.

The festival has been held since 2002 on the basis of PSU named after S. Toraigyrov. In 2004 it was awarded with the International status.
The competitive creative program of student youth is held on nominations: a folk music; national songs; aitys of akyns; variety songs; dances (national, modern, sports ); art reading as well as sports meets. Jury consisting of known Pavlodar art workers defines winners and owners of valuable prizes.
Student Youth Republican Festival of a variety song «Ensemble’s Dos Mukasan Songs»
The organizer of the festival is PSU named after S.Torajgyrov. Student’s youth of Kazakhstan high schools and winners of student's youth festivals take part in this competition. The festival purpose is revival of cultural traditions, revealing of talented youth in the student's environment, activization of creative activity as well as education of esthetic taste and spiritually-moral values. Vocal collectives and the soloists singing variety songs from repertoire of «Dos - Mukasan group take part in this competition.
Republican Festival of Kazakhstan student's youth «Zhas Tolkyn»
The festival «Zhas Tolkyn» is annually held in different cities of Republic Kazakhstan on the basis of the State High Schools. In 2006 «Zhas толкын» Festival was held in Pavlodar at our university. Within the limits of this action competitions on different nominations were held: the Folk music - «National singing» and «Music Performance on National Tools»; Variety singing; the Choreography; Aitys of Akyns and Sports meets. About 400 students of High Schools of the Republic took part in the festival. All the participants presented their cities, and students of our university have especially caused a stir on all nominations.
For three competitive days the Republic student's youth had shown their talents , had close familiarized with sights of our city and university.
«Student's Spring» Festival
The «Student's spring» festival is annually held for the purpose of activization of creative activity of PSU students, perfection of esthetic education, revival of cultural traditions. The festival has multigenre character. Each student of faculty can present the program on following nominations:
1. National singing
2. Music performance on national tools
3. Variety singing
4. A choreography
5. Competition of readers and leaders
6. A beauty contest.
Following the results of festival «Student's spring» the best collectives are awarded by diplomas of winners and costly presents.
