General information
Academic mobility is movement of students, teachers and administrative staff for studying, teaching, pursuance of the research or advanced training for a particular academic period (semester or academic year) to other higher educational institution (within the country or abroad) with the compulsory recognition of educational programs by means of credits in their university or to continue study at an other university.
Depending on the purpose, academic mobility can be short-term or long-term:
- Short-term academic mobility is movement of students, teaching staff or a university employee to other educational or scientific institution for less than one semester for the purpose of:
- passing of professional or research practice;
- studying during a summer semester (additional training);
- lecturing;
- advanced training;
- studying at summer and winter schools;
- Other short-term forms of scientific and educational cooperation.
- Long-term academic mobility is movement of students, teaching staff or university employee to other educational or scientific establishment for the semester or academic year for the purpose of:
- studying;
- teaching;
- pursuance of the research;
- advanced training.
