The Degree projects of department graduates repeatedly won prize-winning places in different contests. Scientific works of students were repeatedly confessed to be the best in the Republic. In 2006 degree project of Marzhan Totay-kyzy took the first place in the republic in the specilaty "Industrial and civil construction". In 2007 degree projects of the students Kinablek E.O., Baklanova A.V., Madeniet B.K., Schukina V.V. there were awarded at republican contest with diplomas of I and III degrees, In 2008 degree projects of the students Nurgali M.R., Akhmetova A.K. there were awarded at republican contest with diplomas of II degrees. In 2008 degree project of Zamarajeva A.S. took the 3 place at the international competition in Turkey. In 2010 degree project of Novokreshchennyj A. took the 1 place in Almaty, etc.

Student construction units take special places in the history of department. Students who were studying according specialty ‘Industrial and civil construction‘ were always members of SCU. Headquarters of SCU, leaders of units , as a rule, were students of architectural faculty. In 2001 SCU were restored again. Students and employees of department took active aprt in formation of SCU. 5 units were formed, which worked in Pavlodar and Bayanaul recreation area of PSU.

The main trends of research activity of the department are the following:

-Durability, stability and dynamics of thin-walled constructions.

-use of industrial wastes in production of materials of construction, products and erections

- Endurance of engineering structures

Results of scientific-research works are reported in different conferences, published in scientific journals and collections of works, introduced in educational process. Students` training is conducted in close connection of practical and theoretical knowledge. After completing of school year, in summer students have practical training in dufferent construction, project and production eneterprises: public corporation ‘Irtyshstroy’, public corporation ‘Aluminium Kazakhstan’, limited partnership ‘Pavlodarcivilproject’, public corporation ;Imstalcom’ etc.

Use departure to industry in production of the building materials, product and design, Longevity of the engineering buildings, The Results of the research work докладываются on different conference, have something published in scientific journal and collection of the works, are introduced in scholastic process. Education student to guide to close-fitting entanglement theoretical and practical knowledge. After termination of the school year, in daylight-savings time students pass the practical person in different building, design and production organization: public limited liability company "Irtyshtranstroy", public limited liability company "Aluminum Kazakhstan", Limited partnership "Pavlodargrazhdanproekt", Limited partnership "Imstalikon" and others.

Activity of many scientists has essential influence upon organization of the educational process, training specialists, they are Doctor of Technical sciences, professor I.S. Akhmetov; Candidate of technical sciences, professor K.K. Kaydarov; Candidate of technical sciences, professor K.D. Kurmanov; Candidate of physico-mathematical sciences, associate professor Y.A. Gartung; Candidate of technical sciences, professor M. Shintemirov; Candidate of technical sciences, professor G.S. Fakhrutdinov; Candidate of physico-mathematical sciences, professor M.K. Altybassarov; k.t.n., professor; Candidate of technical sciences, professor S.K. Torpischev; Doctor of technical sciences., professor S.K. Elimuratov; Doctor of technical sciences., professor M.K. Kuderin; Candidate of technical sciences assistant, professor V.T. Stanevich, associate professor V.T. Dahno; senior teacher Ezernitskaya Y.E. and others. Many of them presently work in different high schools of Kazakhstan.
