At the Department of “Architecture and Design”: Research works
At the Department of “Architecture and Design” the initiative research is conducted in the following fields:
- Forming the image of knowledge in the making of Kazakhstan (Temerbaeva Zh..A., candidate of pedagogical science, associate professor);
- Credit system of education on the training material in “Design” specialty (Biryukov, M.B., Senior Lecturer);
- Graphic signs in decorative and applied arts: the history and continuity (Taniev Zh.K, Senior Lecturer);
- The history of urban planning policy in Kazakhstan (1917-1985) (Suleimenov E.N., Senior Lecturer);
- National features of the middle Irtysh architecture (Kairbekov U.E., Associate Professor);
- Formation of the professional competence of future architects and designers (Seytmoldinov D.N., Senior Lecturer);
- Formation of creative views of design students (in terms of ergonomics) (Erezhepova AK, teacher).
Key achievements in scientific work
At the Department of “Architecture and Design” the work is done at 7 initiative research work, over 36 scientific publications published. Undergraduate scientific and technical conferences are conducted on the subjects of the department. As a result of the 2008-2009 years candidate of pedagogical science, associate professor Zh. A. Temerbaeva was named the best director of the department of Pavlodar State University named after S.Toraigyrov.
Teachers and students of the department participate in such scientific conferences as:
- Pavlodar city, Republican Scientific Conference of young scientists, students and pupils "The Satpaev’s reading", PSU after S.Toraigyrov;
- Pavlodar city, Republican Scientific Conference "The Toraygyrov’s reading" PSU after S.Toraigyrov;
- Taraz city, Tar.GPI, International scientific-practical conference.
- Pavlodar city, International scientific - practical conference devoted to 120 years anniversary of Zh. Aimautov "Aimautov reading", PSU after S. Toraigyrov;
- Pavlodar city, Republican Scientific - Technical Conference " Sh.Chokin’s second reading”, PSU after S.Toraigyrov;
In total over 40 papers, 2 monographs, about 4 textbooks have been published.
The students of the department of “Architecture and Design” take an active part in the competitions among architects and designers:
- III Republican contest of young designers "DizKAZ- Almaty 2010" (Diploma of 2 and 3 Grade).
- International Review Show - competition of final qualifying works on architecture and construction specialties.(in 2010 diplomas of 2-3 grades, in 2009 – diplomas of 1 and 2 grades).
- Festival of architectural works and constructional art, Chimkent city. (Diploma of 1 grade).
Research work is planned in the individual plans of all teachers.
The department does collaborative research work with leading and related departments of other republic and neighboring countries universities.
Effectiveness of the implementation of the initiative research is confirmed with the successful defense, pass of defense and pre-defense of candidate of science theses; publication of textbooks, as well as reports at regional and international conferences at various levels and publication of articles in scientific journals of PSU and neighboring countries. Most of the department разработок is also embedded into the learning process and reflected in the dissertations of postgraduates and final qualifying works of students.
Teaching staff of the department annually participates in university, republic competitions, exhibitions, scientific conferences.
Research work of students
The department's students take part each year in university, republic competitions, exhibitions, scientific conferences, and publish articles in the conference collections, annually participate in the contest of final qualifying works hold by the republican educational and methodical association of specialties in the field of architecture and design. Temerbaeva Zh.A., Starkova G.N., Kairbekova U.I., Suleimenov E.N., Taniev Zh.K., Seytmoldinova D.N. runs the graduation projects.
