Annualy Pavlodar state university after S.M. Toraygirov takes part in competitions, declared by the Ministry of Education and sciences of Kazakhstan and other organizations.

The primary goal of participation of the faculty`s staff of  Pavlodar state university after S.M. Toraygirov in competitions, grants and programmes is increase in popularity of scientific researches, innovational and engineering development, introduction in manufacture of their results and maintenance of unity of scientific work with teaching and educational process at university.

In 2009 Pavlodar state university after S.M. Toraygirov take part in the following competitions:

By the results of annual competition among the faculty staff versity on a rank " The Best scientist of the year", on the basis of the submitted materials by points leading position have occupied:

-    Karakaev A.K. - Dr.Sci.Tech., professor;

-    Utegulov B.B. - Dr.Sci.Tech., professor;

-    Turishev A.K. - Dr.Sci.Phys., professor;

-    Rustemova K.R. - Dr.Med.Phys., professor;

-    Mustafina R.M. - Cand.Tech.Sci., professor;

-    Saparova K.T. - The candidate of the humanities, the senior lecturer;

-    Uahitova A.B. - Cand.Tech.Sci.

- Iksatova S.T. – candidate of jurisdicial sciences, docent;

- Utegulov A.B. – candidate of technical sciences, docent;

- Bogomolov A.V. - the senior teacher of "Metallurgy" department;              

- Akaev A.M. - the senior teacher of "Power industry" department;

- Isenov S.S. - the senior teacher of "Power industry" department.

Pavlodar State University named after S.Torajgyrov has taken part in the annual competition announced by the Committee of Foresty and Hunting Ministry of Kazakhstan Republic. The competition on grants within the limits of the investment project «Forests’ Preservation and Frest Land Increasing in Republic Territories», PSU send 4 scientific projects.

An annual competition among the faculty on a rank «The Most Active Inventor» is held at university. Here are the results of the given competition:

- Kletsel M. Ja – doctor of technical sciences, the professor of «Automation and management» - 1 place;

- Dudak N.S. - candidate of technical sciences, docent of «Mechanical engineering and standardization» department - 2 place;

- Iskakova D.A. – the senior teacher of «Mechanical engineering and standardization»  department - 3 place.

In March, 2009 the university participated in Republican achievements competition in the field of invention on nominations «The Most Active Inventor», «The Invention of The Year» (Department of Justice of Kazakhstan Republic).

In March of this year the university teaching staff has taken part and has won 5 prizes of open competition on the state purchases of rendering of services in vocational training, retraining and improvement of unemployed professional skill, spent by Department of employment and social Programs of Pavlodar. Supervisors of studies – Rahimzhanov K.H. – candidate of philological sciences, docent and Ernazarov T.J.  - candidate of technical sciences, professor.

In September, 2009 teaching staff of the university has taken part in annual competition of awards in the field of science: named after K.I. Satpaev - for the best scientific researches in natural sciences, named after Ch. Valihanov - for the best scientific researches in humanities, named after I.Altynsarin - for the best scientific researches and works in the field of pedagogic.

For young scientists: for the best works in the field of natural sciences named after D.A.Kunaev, for the best works in the field of the humanities named after M.Auezov, for outstanding achievements in studying of Turkic language named after Kyultegin. Results of the competition will be declared after the work of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

An annual competition among the faculties on a rank «The Best Teacher» is declared at university in 3 directions:

- Natural scientific;

- Technical;

- Social-humanitarian.

On the following nominations:

- The Best Head of The Department;

- The Best Professor;

- The Best Docent;

- The Best Senior Teacher;

- The Best Teacher (assistant).
