Specialities:

- metallurgy of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and fusions;

- Working out materials technology (rolling production etc.).

5В072400 TECHNOLOGICAL MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT

Specialities:

- Technological machines and equipment;

- Agricultural machines and equipment.

After graduating one is given an academic degree – bachelor of Metallurgy, bachelor of Technological machines and equipment and is given diploma of state standard.

Graduates of the department “Metallurgy” are in great demand in our region with the most developed industrial production in Kazakhstan. They work at such large plants of Kazakhstan as JSC Aluminium of Kazakhstan”, Ferrous fusion plant in Aksu, LLP “KSP steel”, JSC “Kazenergycable”, Kazakhstan electrolysis plant producing aluminium and Pipe rolling plant.

Objects of graduates professional activities are: enterprises of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, rolling, pipe rolling, chemical, mining-chemical and machine-building production, branch scientific research and project institutes, factory laboratories, vocational and technical schools.

Graduates of our specialities are involved in the following activities:

- Productionary- technological and organizational work at industrial enterprises, also conduct scientific research to enrich ferrous, non-ferrous, rare and radioactive metals and fusions, rolling metals;

- Work out and control technological processes of non-ferrous metals outcome and production quality, management organization at metallurgical enterprises;

- Projecting, usage and preparing equipment of metallurgical enterprises, diagnostic of metallurgical enterprises equipment;

- Repairing, regulation and usage control equipment and programme means.

Education forms and courses:

The following applicants can enter our faculty:

► Secondary school-leavers according to the results of SAT or complex testing.

Study course: full-time - 4 years; part-time – 5 years.

► After finishing secondary professional educational institutions (colleges) due to this speciality.

Study course: 3 years.

► After graduating high educational institutions.

Study course: 2 years.
